From MICROSOFT to DENTISTRY
Originally from Southern California, Paul Schwarz earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from UCLA and then moved to Oregon where he earned an MBA from Willamette University. After working for several years in the hi-tech industry of the Pacific Northwest and then Silicon Valley as a management consultant, he reached a crossroad in life and decided to pursue his childhood dream of a career in Dentistry.
He received his doctorate in Dental Medicine from UNLV and then continued with post-graduate dental training in a general practice residency at the University of Nevada School of Medicine where he was trained to perform a wide range of advanced dental procedures including hospital dentistry, implant dentistry, intravenous sedation, as well as the treatment of developmentally disabled and medically compromised patients. Dr. Schwarz is also member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
In his spare time, Dr. Schwarz enjoys restoring things; anything from airplanes, classic cars to old arcade games from the 80’s era.”I love the process of taking something old and broken, and making it like brand new again. It is really just the same principle that draws me to Dentistry”. When he is not fixing things, Dr. Schwarz keeps busy with his wife, a Marriage and Family Therapist, and two young boys. He enjoys outdoor recreation in the sun and warm weather of Henderson, but in the winter he loves to hit the mountains and go skiing.
Please see his work below as narrated by Dr. Paul Schwarz:
